About the artistArt curated by
A word from TeeFury:Are you an 30 ton mega-elephant with bronchial pneumonia? We hope so.
Where are you from?
A Montreal native, I've been living in this cold North-East corner of the world ever since my birth, in 1989. It's quite a beautiful place, and deserves a visit during the few days of the year we like to call "kinda-summer."
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I'm just a simple Graphic Arts student, now studying Film and Photography. I enjoy many forms of art, but have been intrigued by designing shirts ever since I stumbled upon Teefury, a year or so ago. I've actually already been featured here before: I was pick to represent Teefury's 2 Year Anniversary shirt. I was number 8 on the dark grey tee.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I've been in College for 8 years now. I started in Graphic Design, but then when the program ceased being -about- design, I decided to pursue other options. Now, Film and Photography fill my educational curriculum. Oh, and I'm afraid of mannequins.
Name a few of your favorite things.
I'm a huge fan of collecting tee's (I'm up to around 140 or so) and I could listen to Ska music for days on end.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
When I was younger, I used to draw all sorts of dinosaurs and robots. In fact...I still do! I'm currently working on a design or two that might just encompass these "few of my fa-vo-ri-te things."
Which fictional family would you most like to be a part of?
Probably the Mario Brothers. Luigi, Mario and I would essentially be made of awesome. *whistles Mario theme*
The past vs. the future: which would win the battle?
Past. If movies taught us anything, robots are just gonna cause doom, but talking and singing dinosaurs will always be my friend.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Right now, it's either my "Serenity Sake" shirt I picked up from Teefury not too long ago, or "Evolved from the Dead" also one of Teefury's, or the Hitchhiker's Guide shirt I got from my girlfriend, for Christmas.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Tough choices! I'm a huge gamer and a film buff, but I would probably say video games. As for my favourites: Game would have to be Portal, book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the whole trilogy of five) and Big Fish reigns in the movie category.
What inspires your work?
See the above. Movies, books, video games, and TV shows. I love pop culture designs; I'm a Tee-vil fan for life (sorry Teebird!).
Any shout outs?
To my friends for picking this up and to my fellow Lost fans. Lastly, my tattoo artist deserves a shout-out, as he will be doing my Tee-vil tattoo in a day or two! Last but not least my editor, thanks Kraken.
