About the artist
A word from TeeFury:
This is a test for true fans- can you name each of the silhouettes?
Tell us a bit about this design.
I don't know it popped into my head one day. It was around Halloween so maybe seeing people in costumes crossing the street tapped into my subconscious somehow. I was tempted to add more detail but I think it's still recognizable
Where are you from?
NYC but more specifically the Bronx.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
That hopefully I can provide em' with more cool shirts to rock in the future. And currently putting the finishing touches on my time-machine so I can go back and get all the tee-fury shirts I missed out on.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I believe NUTELLA should be in the food pyramid or basic food groups at least.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Guess i'll have to keep it PG here, but got to include Bicycles, s'mores pop tarts, coffee, Sharpie markers, there's a lot of other things but I haven't fully woken up yet to think of them all.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
Silly stuff. People that looked like big potatoes with arms and legs. I would draw Ninja turtles in school all day in my notebooks. I still have a bunch of childhood drawings and sometimes wonder what was in the food back then, I drew some nutty stuff. Also had a big influence from all the comic books I read back in the day.
What was your favorite moment in the Star Wars series?
There's lots of cool moments in the ORIGINALS (cough cough). But when I was a kid the speeder-bike chase scene was really cool too me. And even though most people hated the ewoks, I dug em when I was in my single digit years.
Light vs. dark: which would win the battle?
Depends which of them has Internet access
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Have a few too many, but my Sublime (awesome band!) shirt is high up there. And you can't go wrong with a plain white t-shirt, it works all year long and for any occasion as an undershirt or just a shirt shirt. I'm kind of picky when it comes to shirt designs. And can't jump on bandwagon type shirts you see everyone else wearing out there. So its either a hot or miss with me for shirt shopping.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I know nowadays they probably have a watch that lets you do all 3 and than some. As far as books its got to be a subject that interests me. I'd rather read magazines (and their ads) but every now & then I will read some books. I recommend- Too Fat To Fish it's funny as hell. Movies are great too and theres tons out there that I like so I won't even start naming them.
What inspires your work?
Anything can give me an idea, usually something I see or overhear or I will usually put some twist to an ad or commercial I see on tv or print. You can say my ideas are pretty random and depending on what's on my mind at the time things just materialize. Sometimes my ideas come out clear and sometimes they look better in my head and 90% of it will come out in the actual work. It's frustrating but fun
Any shout outs?
To all my friends and family, all the other and much much better artists than me that keep inspiring me (keep it up). THANKS!!
Got to ask Smokey & Louse what are they wearing? And a shout out to my Mom. A big thanks to you guys & girls at Tee-Fury for giving me a chance its awesome...
