Tell us a bit about this design.
This is still one of my favourite things I've done. Batman has always been my favourite superhero and I thought The Dark Knight was amazing and Heath Ledger was awesome as The Joker! This was the first one of my Quoteskines that sort of got noticed. It was posted here and there when I first did it and as a result it was the first time I had a wave of people start following me on tumblr. 

You've got a great (and very popular!) Tumblr- how did you get started using it? Would you recommend Tumblr to others?
It always seems like a lie now my tumblr has got a little popularity. But basically I had no job and started Quoteskine just to keep my brain working. I wanted to put all the drawings on a site just so I could see progress and try and keep it going. I'd used a few other blogging platforms before and always got bored because they seemed to suck. Tumblr seemed the easiest and most fun so I went with that this time. And I think it's partly because it's so easy to share stuff through tumblr that I am here right now. So yeah I'd definitely recommend it.

What was it like to see Chris Martin wearing one of your tees? If you could dress any celebrity in one of your shirts, which design and which star would you choose?
That whole thing was quite crazy to be honest. I thought it was a bit of a wind up when the guy emailed me about it. Not sure what else to say, it was just nuts. Now to the important part of that question…  

Whenever someone asks me a question that starts with the words "If you could" followed by "any celebrity" my mind instantly turns to Mila Kunis. So I'll say Mila Kunis and I'd make her a special tee that no one has seen yet. Something rubbish like "my other tee is in Lee's bedroom". You get the idea.

Your art has a very cool hand-drawn feel- what pens or markers do you use to create it?
I generally just use Staedtler Tri Plus pens and Sharpies. I've tried Copics and a few of those more expensive brands. But I always go back to what I like using at the end of the day. Some people hate it because you can really see a lot of my stuff is hand drawn, with the markers all over blending and stuff like that. But that's kinda how my style has developed and I like it.

Has there ever been a quote you wanted to draw, but couldn't come up with an idea for?
Almost 2 shoe boxes worth! So far. Generally when I hear a quote or lyric or something that I like I'll jot it down and stuff it in a shoe box while I wait for a good idea. There's still plenty of quotes in there I've done nothing with yet. Although now I've got a swanky new phone I write most of them on there. It's loads easier than emptying half a tree from my pockets when I get home.

Movies and books serve as the inspiration for a lot of your art. Name a favorite of each!
This is such a hard question. I have hundreds of favourites and when I start to think of just one my brain threatens to pop. So I'm afraid I can't answer it. How does anyone ever manage to just get one answer for this question? Well two answers. You know what I mean.

What would your dream project be?
You know that bit at the end of Dumb and Dumber where the bus load of bikini models pulls up. Yeah, that. 

"You'll have to excuse my friend, he's a little slow. The town is back that way!"

Hmn, as well as the usual family and friends, I'd like to give a "shout out" to Q-Tip and Mark Ronson. Especially Ronson! If someone who I know reads this, they'll know what it means. Hahahaha.
