On the first day of Christmas, your true love Teefury gave to you a mashup of epic proportions.

Where are you located?
Wellington, New Zealand.

Tell us about yourself:
Well, new to TeeFury and this is my first submission. I’m a going-on 37-yr-old freelance designer/illustrator/vigilante sidekick with a 2-yr-old son and a lovely partner who’s also expecting twin girls early in 2011. Life is busy.

You have a blog. Can you tell us about it?
My handle “HtCRU” stands for “How to Carve Roast Unicorn” http://howtocarveroastunicorn.blogspot.com/ which is my new blogspot I’ve been running since Sept 2010. Lots of cool inspiration, images, artists and just stuff I like plus it’s where I want to build up and promote personal tee designs and illustrations (that I make from now on).

What other interests do have besides art?
I like cold beer.

What's a day in the life of Barn like?
I’m blogging when I should be working and working when I should be sleeping. Daily hill treks whilst listening to fan SWTOR podcasts then its back home to drink copious amounts of tea and avoid my ironing pile.

Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?
Yeah, lots of tees! Favourites: Chris Wahl’s "Best Buddies" (with the "Chewie and Han" text) and Evan Ferstenfeld's Threadless tee "The internet was closed so I thought I'd come outside today."

If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which would it be?
The Matterhorn (local restaurant/bar) but if I could choose to try only one new restaurant within the next five years it would be Heston Blumenthal's, The Fat Duck in the UK.

Star Trek or Star Wars?
Raised on both, but easily Star Wars (old school movies and action figures, yay!). I did however really enjoy the latest Star Trek film.

Would you rather survive a zombie apocalypse or a nuclear apocalypse?
Zombie apocalypse for sure – give Mother Nature and the planet some time off from us humans. Besides, being in NZ I’d only really worry if the z-apocalypse affected sheep and then we’d be in real trouble and simply overrun!? Baaa-rains ;-)

Best villain ever?
Joker

Your favorite trilogy?
The original Star Wars trilogy (the newer prequels are very poor in comparison) and the Indiana Jones series (sorry, but I don’t really count the 4th movie, hehe). Oh, the LOTR and Back to the Future trilogies should get an honourable mention!
