Yetis Love Hot Cocoa
About the artistArt curated by
A word from the curator:
Everyone needs to feel a bit warmer on a cold, snowy day... even yetis!
Where are you from?
Montreal, (QC), Canada
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
I was doing illustrations for fun and a friend told me about threadless. So I used one illustration I had and convert it into a 5 colours t-shirt illustration. That was my first submission and I won! From this moment, I became addicted to t-shirt design! Seeing your first t-shirt being printed is crazy! And that's when my career as an illustrator began because I started to be known and got jobs opportunity because people saw my t-shirt.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Post your stuff online for others to see on website like deviantart and behance. You get direct feedbacks from the community other than your mom and friends. It's a great way to evolve.
What would be your dream job?
I'm already doing my dream job. Being able to draw each day is awesome and having books published is just a blast!
What would your ideal house be like?
A town-house in Montreal. Fully renovated with modern furniture and a lot of my characters on the wall + an awesome office.
XBOX 360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii: which would win the battle?
Wii! I can't wait for Donkey Kong Return to be out!
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
My favorite one is a simple one, it's called Dead Pirate by Mc bess, it's was a Select at Threadless.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
I've always been a huge Disney fan, that's what I watched when I grew up, then I became an hard-core Pixar fan! It's quite hard to tell witch one is the best, but I have a soft spot for Monsters Inc & Wall-e.
What are a few of your favorite websites?
I'm spending my days on threadless.com & designbyhumans.com.
