I love designs for fans that still look rad to people who have no idea what it's about!

Tell us a bit about this design.
For those who haven't seen the Doctor Who episodes, "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead", the Vashta Nerada are one of the best monsters of the new Doctor Who. According to The Doctor, Vashta Nerada translates to "The Shadows That Melt Flesh," and the Doctor refers to them as "piranhas of the air".

I wanted to make a design for all the hardcore Doctor Who fans and make it something really specific, but also really cool looking for everyone else.

Where are you from?
Vancouver, not BC. Washington, not DC.

What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
My name is Jordan M Dalton and I'm a store manager, graphic designer, illustrator, comic writer, music maker and I have two cats.

What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
My weak point is on the back of my neck.

Name a few of your favorite things.
Animals, comics, drawing, kaiju, zombies, Doctor Who, and my girlfriend. Not specifically in that order.

What are your feelings about history?
Rubbish as a school subject. Brilliant as a TV channel or rough basis for a sci-fi time travel TV series.

Would you rather travel through time or space? Where to?
Time. Down side is that I'd appear to grow older faster, but it would allow me to look like I get all my projects done quicker to everyone else. Of course, I'd probably be restricted to travel only outside my own time line so I'd have to keep a stash of art supplies in a time capsule.

Star Wars vs. Star Trek: which would win the battle?
Not that I never watched TNG as a kid -- all the time --- but I'd have to go with Star Wars on this one. Lightsabers are never set to "stun".

Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
It's a tie between "Z is for Zombie" by John Sumrow and "Best Buddies" by Chris Wahl. "Z is for Zombies" is just such a classic zombie illustration and I'm a total zombie nerd. I actually missed it on TeeFury and when I saw it in the Gallery I felt like I got punched in the gut. I ended up paying twice as much to get it a couple days afterwords. That's how much I like that one. "Best Buddies" is Calvin and Hobbes as Han Solo and Chewbacca. Seriously, need I say more? Well, I will. It's not only adorable and awesome at the same time, but it was rendered so well that I would swear Bill Watterson drew it.

Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
This is a tough one. However, it's been made slightly easier now that the director of my favorite movie (Shaun of the Dead) has directed the movie adaptation of my favorite comic books series: Scott Pilgrim. Which was also made into a cool little game that was art directed by the single best pixel animation artists, Paul Robertson. All around great things coming from that comic series.

What inspires your work?
Pop culture, dreams, puns, real culture, experience, alcohol, caffeine, and boxes full of kittens.

Any shout outs?
My girlfriend Brittany, for watching both "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead" just to understand my design better.

Heather, Pete and Patrick for being fellow Whovians.

My Family for pretty much shaping who I am through either good example or showing me what NOT to do.
