Where are you located? - Brisbane, Australia.
Tell us about yourself in 140 characters or less like Twitter: - I`m a scribbler, vector lover and skaterboarerer. Equal parts of these per week help keep everything functioning as it should.
Scott or Scotti? - Either one, Scott`s official & Scotti makes everyone sound like they`re my friend, and I like that.
What is your most favorite design of yours to be printed? Favourite
design to be printed would have to be "Walker this way".. I still love
that design, and I get nothing for interseting reactions on it when I`m
wearing it..
What's your art process like, from initial sketch to finished product? - Indefinate amount of time with no decent ideas, get idea, stress over worthiness, decide to start.
Sketch a whole bunch of thumbnails to get all the elements together and see if it`s working. Once I`m relatively content, draw up sketch from the thumbs. Refine until it`s all looking ok. Scan and digitally re-draw.
Repeating step 3 throughout the whole process.
What other interests do have besides t-shirt art? - Collecting 1980's to 1990's Powell Peralta skateboards. I`m obsessed, seriously. Half the fun is the search, I feel like I`m saving some massive part of my art heritage every one I find.
What's the coolest thing to happen to you, you know, besides be featured on Teefury? - Being on Teefury is pretty cool I must say.. but...
Coolest thing recently was being invited to skate in skate-art exhibition here in Brisbane, in a replica of a wooden bowl I skated as a youngster. I`m 34 now, so I`m not as bouncy as I used to be, but being in the middle of a goverment gallery, skating with my freinds, surrounded by people and amazing boards.. was surreal and very cool to say the least.
What's you favorite internet meme/youtube viral sensation? - I`m not sure why, but I LOVE the forever alone, and Fuuuuuuu memes.. they're dumb, they`re funny, I can`t get enough of them. Sad but true.
Do you think mankind will ever emulate some of the ideas in Star Trek, and other future space oriented fiction? - I`d definately hope so, and I kind of think it`s inevitable.. StarTrek/Sci fi, all these things bring a little something into reality, even though they`re ficton. Ideas are born, and once it`s out there, it`s only a matter of time before it becomes a reality. I just wish they'd hurry up with it.
What technology do you hope to see in your lifetime? - Matter transferal devices, despite the scary implications of "The Fly". It`d solve so many world problems, and day-to-day life problems. Distance would be a thing of the past! Sure, it`d open up a world of problems too, but what a fun time that`d be!
But I don`t see that happening in my lifetime. For this lifetime, Fully immersive, vitual reality computer games.. oh yeah.
